Reach the goal with your character, watch it repeat your movement path. Continue reaching goals, while avoiding your previous movements.

What did I do?

  • I crafted the artistic vision of Oddli from the beginning of the project to its current state. I worked hand to hand with my two other artist colleagues to develop the visual identity of the project creating sketches, animations, 3D assets, and so on. Working in Unity and with design software to achieve the visual look of the game.

  • I was responsible of designing Cusco, our first demo level which was presented during the Bit1 Finals competition. I was also part of the creation of the unique mechanics of our game in a collaborative process where we developed several prototypes in both the early phases and the more polished levels. I crafted level prototypes, animation prototypes and even physical prototypes during the ideation phase of our game.

  • I 3D modeled several elements of the game, including the toy heads and level decorations of Cusco. I used SDF software to create the assets, used Blender to refine it and imported and implemented the elements to Unity.

  • I was in charge of adding feedback elements to the gameplay. To achieve an excellent game feel I added animations, visual feedbacks and even physic simulation to the gameplay using Feel engine. I designed the User Interface of the game and iterated on both aspects gathering feedback from several playtests.

  • Oddli is the result of the hard work of 6 students who joined my original pitch idea back in February 2024. Since then, I have assured that the game’s core elements stay true to the original pitch’s vision, while adapting to the challenging development of our unique gameplay.

I have put together a Case Study for the UI of this project where I show the process behind it. The screens were prototyped in Figma and I implemented them using Unity UI Toolkit. I also used Unity Timeline to animate the UI.
