Hola! I'm Nestor, a Graphic Designer and Game Artist from the Canary Islands ッ
I'm a multidisciplinary creative from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, working as a Graphic Designer at The LEGO® Group. I have experience in Game Art, UI Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, and Animation. I have worked in design and communication studios in Barcelona and Las Palmas, as well as freelancing on many projects involving animation, web design, graphic design and illustration. I completed a Master of Arts in Game Design and Development at Aalto University (Finland) and a Master's degree in Design and Art Direction at Elisava (Barcelona). I also love developing video games!
My personal style is quite colorful and I love combining various techniques, inspired by European comics (Tintin FTW!) and my learnings across multiple creative disciplines. I have traveled through Asia and Latin America while working as a freelancer, and I love cooking (and eating!), playing games and enjoying the sun.

Game Art
I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Game Design and Development in Aalto University. I am an artist with experience in UI Desing, Art Direction, Illustration and Animation - all combined with a strong vision and enthusiasm to create eye-catching experiences. My work has been awarded in the Finnish Game Awards, winning ‘Best Student Game’ of 2024 and ‘Best Technical Execution and Quality’ in the Bit1 Competition.
UI Design
I have participated in several projects as UI Designer, crafting tailor-made experiences with a focus on responsive design, modular design systems and overall aesthetic. I have experience working closely with developers to create reliable products and to ensure that the projects are implemented with the same level of detail as the prototypes.
Illustration
Since the beginning of my creative career, I have been perfecting my personal drawing style and honing my skills in illustration. My work has been awarded and it has been featured in videogames, newspapers, books, advertising campaigns, and, of course, I have crafted multiple personal projects. I have experience creating and developing illustrations for different mediums, from concept to completion, making sure they are ready for production.
Animation
At the moment, I am finishing my Minor in 3D Animation using Maya. I have previous experience using Blender, Adobe After Effects in 2D and 3D animation projects. Knowing how to animate has also helped me to communicate dynamic ideas as I imagine them. From 3D to frame-by-frame, I enjoy combining different techniques to reach my vision.
Art Direction
With a Master’s Degree in Art Direction, I have the ability to bring creative ideas to life using my art direction skills, through powerful visual design. I thrive in crafting stories through visuals, applying references, colours, textures, and moodboards. I enjoy creating projects that are adaptive to different platforms and mediums, and I’m passionate about making sure that my designs are both visually attractive and follow a strong concept.

These experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of effective teamwork and clear communication.
